software development
We build entertainment platforms for the African content creator and distributor market — video-on-demand, live streaming, music platforms, and digital ticketing. Adaptive streaming, DRM, and mobile money monetisation are our standard stack for media products.
what we build
- Video-on-demand (VOD) platform with subscription and pay-per-view
- Live streaming platform with chat and virtual gifting
- Music streaming app with offline download and playlist management
- Content management system for producers and distributors
- Digital rights management (DRM) integration
- Creator monetisation — subscriptions, tips, and merchandise
- Event ticketing for concerts and screenings
- Recommendation engine for content discovery
challenges we solve
- High buffering rates on African mobile networks killing watch time
- No mobile money monetisation path for audiences without cards
- Content piracy and no DRM protection on video assets
- No first-party data on viewing behaviour to inform content acquisition
- Manual content ingestion from creators adding days to publishing timelines

frequently asked questions
How do you handle video streaming performance on low-bandwidth African networks?
We use HLS adaptive bitrate streaming so the player automatically downgrades quality to match available bandwidth. Videos are served from CDN edge nodes closest to the viewer.
Do you implement DRM to protect video content from piracy?
Yes. We integrate Widevine (Android/web) and FairPlay (iOS) DRM via Mux or an equivalent provider. Content keys are managed server-side and never exposed to clients.
Can you build a live streaming platform with real-time viewer interaction?
Yes. We build live platforms using Mux Live or Agora with real-time chat (WebSocket), virtual gifting, viewer counts, and recording for replay.
How do African audiences pay for streaming subscriptions?
We integrate M-Pesa recurring billing, Flutterwave card and mobile money, and telco billing where available — maximising payment accessibility across markets.
